Alumni Services

Through the Young Alumni Ambassador (YAA) Scheme, the HKU Business School aims to cultivate a strong, engaged, and influential network of recent graduates from the Maters Programmes who can contribute to the continued success and growth of the faculty. Since its establishment in 2023, the Scheme has garnered the involvement of a large group of enthusiastic MSc alumni from different cultural backgrounds who serve as Young Alumni Ambassadors, making valuable contributions to the faculty.

Objectives 

• The key objectives of the Young Alumni Ambassador Scheme include: 
• To increase the sense of belonging of young alumni through volunteerism and active engagement 
• To provide Young Alumni Ambassadors with a chance to contribute to their alma mater 
• To unite and reconnect with alumni from different years and cultural backgrounds, and to continue the legacy of Young Alumni Ambassadors 
• To build a strong network of Masters Programmes alumni community

Selection Criteria 

To be selected as a Young Alumni Ambassador (YAA) at the Hong Kong University of Business Studies (HKUBS), candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Graduated from masters programmes within 15 years, with not more than 15 years of working experience 
• Possess good academic records 
• Demonstrated significant contributions and enthusiasm towards the masters community

Responsibilities and Contributions 

By meeting the selection criteria, the YAAs are well-positioned to fulfill their responsibilities, which include: 

(a) Sharing Industrial Experience with Students 

• Act as seniors to share their experiences on job seeking, interview tips, and skillsets required for the industry with current Masters students and other Young Alumni Ambassadors.

(b) Volunteer Service on Faculty Activities 

• Act as Master of Ceremonies, host of table, or other important roles in major faculty events. 
• Provide suggestions or feedback as an alumni representative in focus groups.
