Tuition Fee

The proposed tuition fee* of HKU Business School Masters Programmes for the 2024 intake:

The balance will be payable in 2 instalments over one academic year, irrespective of the number of courses taken in each module.

There is also a non-refundable application fee of HK$300.

#Subject to the approval of the Programme Director and committees concerned, advanced standing of required courses, except the capstone course, may be granted, and tuition fees would be deducted by HK$38,500* per course accordingly.

Scholarships

Entrance Scholarship

We offer scholarships to qualified students, who may receive a scholarship ranging from 10% to 50% in most cases, on the basis of student’s academic merit at the time of admission. A full tuition fee waiver may be offered to outstanding cases. All eligible candidates are automatically considered; no separate application is required.

HKU Business School - Optimas Capital Scholarship

Optimas Capital established a scholarship to support students with connections in Vietnam to pursue full-time Masters Programmes at the HKU Business School. Starting from the academic year 2023-2024, students who hold a Vietnamese passport or have completed their undergraduate degree in Vietnam will be eligible for selection review. Qualified students would be reviewed based on academic merit, interview performance and career track record (if applicable). The exact value of the scholarship amount shall be determined by the Selection Committee, and up to 2 internship opportunities can be provided to interested scholarship recipients. All eligible candidates will be automatically considered; no separate application is required.

Merit-based Scholarship

We offer merit-based scholarships to qualified students, who shall receive a scholarship of 10%, on the basis of student’s performance, including but not limited to, academic performance of the first three modules, participation in the extra-curricular activities, recommendation from course instructors, and level of support provided to the programme office. All eligible candidates are automatically considered; no separate application is required.

Fargo Wealth Excellence Scholarship

Up to 14 scholarships shall be awarded, starting from the academic year 2023-2024, to Year One students, available to all masters programmes offered by the HKU Business School on the bases of academic performance in the respective programmes and their contributions to the community of masters programmes. The Scholarship shall be of the value of HK$10,000 each.

Master of Accounting

There are currently 4 courses in HKU MAcct that are listed as a reimbursement course under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) scheme, which provides a maximum of HK$25,000 in reimbursement to those who fulfil the criteria.

Master of Economics

There are currently 4 courses in HKU MEcon that are listed as a reimbursement course under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) scheme, which provides a maximum of HK$25,000 in reimbursement to those who fulfil the criteria.

  • International Trade And Multinationals
  • The Chinese Economy 

Master of Finance

The HKU MFin programme is listed as a reimbursement course under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) scheme, which provides a maximum of HK$25,000 in reimbursement to those who fulfil the criteria.

The institution code for HKU is 001 and the course code for Master of Finance is 33M152904.

Master of Science in Business Analytics

There are currently 3 courses in HKU MSc(BA) that are listed as a reimbursement course under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) scheme, which provides a maximum of HK$25,000 in reimbursement to those who fulfil the criteria. Eligible MSc(BA) courses:

3. Social Media and Digital Marketing Analytics

Extended Non-means-tested loan (ENLS loan)

Hong Kong residents are eligible to apply for an Extended Non-means-tested loan (ENLS loan) from the government’s Extended Non-means-tested loan scheme.

Applicants should have the right of abode in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong), or have resided or had a home in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years prior to the commencement of the programme / course.

Remarks: this does not cover students holding -

1. Student visas/entry permits:
2. Visas/entry permits under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates;
3. Dependent visas/entry permits which were issued to them by the Director of Immigration when they were 18 years old or above.
